Henry J. Maier founded Tile Gallery in 1976 after working in the ceramic tile industry for over twenty years. The initial “Tile Gallery Team” was made up of three individuals who had a dream of working for themselves. Hank Maier, Walt Costello and Max Ornstein were instrumental in starting the company and developing the business with their collective 75 years of experience. Located in Bensalem Pennsylvania, just north of Philadelphia, Tile Gallery serviced the contractor and retail trade in the Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey area.

In 1983, Tile Gallery opened a second location in Brooklawn, New Jersey. Walt Costello is credited for his effort in getting the new location open and continuing to manage this part of the company.
In 1993 Henry Maier retired. From this time forward the company has been under the leadership of Henry’s son Kevin. Having been brought up in the business, Kevin was familiar with every aspect of the company. Keeping to family tradition, Kevin surrounded himself with the most talented staff imaginable to help him bring the company to where it is today.

As business conditions changed, Tile Gallery changed its focus to meet the current marketing trends. One trend consisted of distributing products throughout the local area. As time went on, Tile Gallery has expanded its reach of distribution to include eight states.

Importing the finest products from Italy and Spain has helped Tile Gallery become important to their customers by focusing on the best lines for their markets. Additionally Tile Gallery provides the best customer service available by employing the most qualified support team from sales representatives to office staff to warehouse staff to delivery personnel. It continually strives to find the right products for an ever-changing market by developing strong relationships and having constant communication with customers.

Although Tile Gallery has grown since being founded in 1976, the company maintains a small family business environment with the strongest commitment towards customer service.
